We absolutely acknowledge the preference for increasing the number of New Zealand-trained GPs in Northland clinical settings, and to increase Māori and Pasifika participation in this context. This subsidy seeks to help address the immediate need and workforce challenges, while other projects and initiatives will address the medium/long-term desire to increase domestic workforce participation.
