Occupational Therapist (0.9FTE)

  • Based at Dargaville Hospital
  • Permanent part time – 36 hours per week

We are looking for a motivated Occupational Therapist to provide Community and Adult Rehab Occupational Therapy service to inpatients and outpatients which best meets their needs, promoting independence, safety, self-determination, individual and family wellbeing.

The role:

  • Provide Occupational Therapy services to clients that enables occupational performance and promotes health/well-being
  • Provide advocacy for the client, community health and occupational therapy services.
  • Promote a high standard of professional occupational therapy practise.
  • Contribute to the effective functioning of the Occupational Therapy Service

Requirements:

  • Registered Occupational Therapist with a current practicing certificate
  • Equipment Assessors Accreditation
  • Has worked in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Good working knowledge of emotional and social issues as they relate to individuals, their families and the wider community
  • Proven ability to communicate with and relate to a wide range of people and age groups

Previous rural experience would be preferable, however if you have less experience but a lot of interest then please apply now!
