Maternal and Infant Mental Health(MIMH), EIP, and Child and Youth Mental Health Services
Te Whatu Ora Te Tai Tokerau advocates for affirmative action and actively seeks Maori into our workforce to reflect the community we serve. We are committed to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and hold stewardship for equitable health outcomes for Māori as Tāngata Whenua as the highest priority.
This is a clinical leadership role operating across the continuing care continuum within the Kia Tū Ngāwari services.
Working in partnership with the Service Manager, the Clinical Head of Department will provide leadership across Te Roopu Kimiora (TRK), Early Intervention Psychosis (EIP), and Maternal and Infant Mental Health (Manaaki Kakano), Pregnancy and Parenting Support (He Tupua Waiora) and Youth Forensics.
Offering an opportunity to shape and lead the service, at an exciting time of development and innovation, this role will work closely with the General Manager and Clinical Director to provide professional leadership with the aim of providing a high-quality service to meet the community, service and organisational objectives.
The successful candidate will be one who is looking to make a meaningful contribution to improving outcomes for children, young people, and families accessing mental health care, with a focus on quality, equity, and service improvement. As a member of the clinical governance forum it is important to have an interest in quality improvement, service development co-design and outcome measures.
In return we can offer you the opportunity to work in a service that has a robust clinical governance structure in place, high standards of care, a supportive team environment and an ability to contribute to improving services.
