About the Role
Are you motivated and looking for a new challenge in a dynamic healthcare environment? Health NZ in Te Tai Tokerau (Northland) is seeking a passionate and dedicated Acute Flow Programme Lead to join a small but committed team focused on improving and sustaining the patient journey.
In this hands-on role, you will work to ensure the best possible care for every patient, facilitating positive change across patient flow pathways. You will develop strong relationships with clinicians and key stakeholders and bring a collaborative approach to solving health complexities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and implement changes to enhance Patient Flow.
- Identify and address the causes of delays in patient flow pathways within the hospital.
- Enhance processes and systems within patient flow to increase efficiency and improve hospital performance.
- Provide high-level professional leadership to maintain efficient patient flow across the organisation.
- Develop and implement Action Plans to meet KPI targets and improve patient care.
About you
- Health professional with New Zealand registration with relevant regulatory authority and holder of a current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC).
- Minimum of five years’ clinical experience post registration
- A motivated leader with the ability to innovate and drive change.
- Strong organisational skills with an understanding of health complexities.
- Experience in monitoring and reporting, with a keen appreciation for data.
- The flexibility and enthusiasm to support change and make patient care a priority.
- A passion for improving patient flow pathways and healthcare systems.
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
- Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings
