2017 - Business Cases Submitted to National Capital Investment Committee for 2 new ORs, Endoscopy Suite & Cardiac Cath Lab

After Board and regional approval, several business cases were submitted to the National Capital Investment Committee for short-term works to ensure essential critical capacity was maintained.

The projects included two new Operating Theatres, a new Endoscopy Suite in the old delivery suite, and a new Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory. The Strategic Business case was also approved, and the Programme Business Case, which considered the options of where to site the new Whangarei Hospital, were being worked through.
